I haven’t heard awful things about them. Get some form of PPI though to check for frame rot and make sure the automatic trans isnt’ full of marvel mystery oil. You can do worse for that price, so its worth a look.

Yeah idk why you would pick one of these over a comparable FWD econobox. A Civic Si or Impreza would likely be a lot more fun. Also holy shit my 240 makes more power and torque

They’re the kind of car you buy, drive til something major fails, then scrap it. A couple of my friends had them, they aren’t terrible to drive, get decent economy, and seem decently reliable.
You could definitely waste your money in worse ways.

I got one of these a rental car once, in that yellow t0o and with a manual (probably the last rental car I ever got with a manual) . It was fine, but nothing more. It did handle decently. It was also only fine in 2005. A 10 year old Honda Civic would feel like a space ship in comparison.

Facebook must default to automatic for listings or something. It’s a 5spd manual when you look at t he pics.

It’s slightly CP at over $1.2k, should be $1k or less.
We need Stef Schraeder here to tell you all about them.

Beats me. Not that anyone is buying these to drag race, but m id 17's in the 1/4 mile is just laughable. Dogfuck slow AND an auto? This thing must be a joy to drive.

Looks surprisingly clean for a WV Mitsubishi, but even without AWD it’s make a good DD

Looks clean for one of those. Normally I see them beat to shit and back. And very rare now to even see one
If you’re looking for AWD I found this (with in 20miles of Athens) . Have absolutely no clue about them but hey AWD.

The only good Lancer Ralliart is the one from 2011-15 which was sorta kinda an Evo-lite. It lacked most of the chassis/suspension upgrades like all the forged control arms and wider track, but it had a less-powerful version of the turbo motor, the TC-SST transmission from the Evo X MR, and an honest-to-god 3 LSD awd system, with active center diff and mechanical front & rear LSDs. T he only difference vs. the Evo drivetrain of the same era is the Evo had the Active Yaw Control torque vectoring rear diff instead of a mechanical LSD.

3 pedals and a shifter tell me it’s listed wrong. Mid 17s isn’t dogfuck slow for a daily cruiser.

I didn’t look closely enough to notice the stick. Still a pig though imo, for something pretending to be sporty anyway.
That’s mid 17's while wringing it out. Driving it casually would make it a road obstruction. Guaranteed I’d blow it to smithereens trying to keep up with traffic between stoplights around here.

I here people say this all the time, even around here, yet my little car with 102hp ( stock mind you, it was probably closer to 50hp ) and a 3 speed auto had zero issue keeping with traffic, merging on the highway, or running down the lolly-gagging “I need 300hp for my daily driver” guy.
If you’re just looking for a runaround, this car is perfectly suited to the task IMO.
